New Injoy Series Motors
These motors can now be used on the current WN2 Tim McCann winch kit and the
former WN1 model winch kit using his new optional adapter kit. Check with
Tim for details.
TB1225 Model Motor
This
12 volt motor produces 2.5 HP (approx. the same as the Ford starter motor) and is being manufactured to Injoy specifications.
It is designed to
provide a more reliable and durable choice when compared with the Ford starter
motor. The motor has a four hole mounting plate with a six and a quarter inch long, 5/8 inch
diameter shaft, measured from the mounting surface. You might be interested to know that the shaft length for the Ford starter
motor, when measured from the mounting surface of the face plate, is 6-1/4," not the 5-3/4"
which is the shaft length that is usually used to describe the motor. The
5-3/4" shaft length is measured from the front of the bearing housing on the
face plate...makes a big difference.
To provide more torque, it has four field coils (the Ford Starter has
two) and the shaft turns on two ball bearings. This is a high quality
motor manufactured with sailplane winch requirements and performance in mind.
(wt. 22 lbs.).........................$290.00
TB1248 Model Motor
From the outside, this 12 volt motor looks like the TB1225, but on the
inside, the components produce 4.8 HP. The motor has the same four hole
mounting plate, 6-1/4" long shaft and
ball bearings as the TB1225. This motor has almost twice the HP of the
Ford starter motor and should be used with caution when launching fragile and
built up planes. (wt. 23 lbs.).........................$350.00
Note: I cannot advise you as to which
motor you should use in your winch. I would refer you to a recent RCGroup
thread
Winch Launching Issues - RC Groups which discussed at length the information
that you probably need to make a decision.
Wiring Package for the Tim McCann
Winch
The following package provides the necessary wiring components to complete the
Tim
McCann Winch. All components supplied, meet Tim's specifications.
Wiring Only Package
This package contains all
of the wiring items to complete Tim's winch.
It includes the 1/0 cabling with Anderson connectors assembled plus the
necessary small gauge wire and terminals to connect your choice of solenoids.
Other components to complete your winch are listed individually below on this
page.
Wiring Package Price.............$130.00
NOT STOCKED....special order with 30 day delivery

A completed winch using the above Injoy "Wiring Package." I have
also added a voltmeter which instantly gives you the condition of your battery
at a glance. If you hard launch with less than 11 volts, it is much more
likely that you will experience a solenoid lock up.
Linemaster Clipper Foot Switch
This
is a rugged foot switch made of powder coated cast iron. It has a large
footprint and can be easily mounted to a board if desired. Switch only (wt. 2
lbs.)..............$33.00 Sale
$24.00
Voltmeter

The Voltmeter easily attaches to your winch. When
connected to the solenoid, it provides a convenient way to
monitor the voltage coming from your battery. When the voltage
reading drops below 11 volts, its time to recharge or
switch your battery.
(wt. 1 lb.).............$20.00

Solenoid "Odometer"

This is a 12 volt mechanical counter to be attached to the solenoid of your
winch. The purpose for this gadget is to count the solenoid
actuations or in other words...how many time you hit the button. This is
handy for the individual wishing to practice preventative maintenance on their
lure machine. For more info.............................$20.00

Cole Hersee Solenoid #24041
This 6 volt solenoid is a top quality automotive type solenoid. It is rated at 100 Amps, as intermittent duty and is an adequate
solenoid for the Ford starter motors run off of a 6 volt battery. Expected useful life is 50,000 actuations.................$22.00
Sale $16.00
200 Amp Solenoid for Winches NEW
This
is a heavy duty solenoid with silver plated contacts which is rated continuous
duty. This solenoid is recommended for use with the new Injoy TB series
motors. This is not an automotive type solenoid and is used in various
commercial and industrial applications. Because of this, the base of the
unit does not act as the ground. There are two small posts on the front of
the solenoid and one (it does not matter which) needs to be connected to a
ground and the other post is connected to the switch. For more info
please read............................$27.00
Disconnect Switch
Pollak disconnect switch with face plate used in the Tim McCann winch.

Winch Safety
Switch
A quick and safe way to stop a winch when a solenoid
or switch locks up. It also provides positive assurance to the
winch mechanic that the winch will not start when they are
working on it. Switches are rated for 750 AMP draw.
Top Mount for connection to neg.(-) top
post battery terminal.
(wt. 1 lb.) ..........................................$29.00
Switch Tip: Drill a hole in the end of the
knife and attach a string or wire to your belt or wrist...pull the string and
the winch instantly stops.
Quick Connect Battery Terminals

These terminals provide a quick and easy way to connect a battery to your
winch. No more wrenches, pliers, etc. ... just slip the terminal onto the
battery post, close the top of the terminal and you’re ready to launch. Supplied in
